A new Horizon 2020 work program means new opportunities
Since the Horizon 2020 work program 2018-2020 is about to be released this month, the H2020 community is clearly buzzing about all these new opportunities. And we can all see it through the multiplication of brokerage events before the end of 2017.
The main aim of these events is to gather the different stakeholders around a specific topic such as nanotechnology, space, food security, etc. and give them the opportunity to meet and build a partnership before writing and submitting a proposal together.
The importance of Impact in your proposal
Because you believe in your project and really want to give it a chance to become a reality and have an impact on our society, you may put all your efforts into the Excellence and Implementation sections. However, after a long-term endeavour to complete the two sections mentioned before, the Impact section may be left until the very last minute, which may lead you to a project loss.
How to avoid this situation and maximize your chances of getting this EU funding?
Invest your money wisely into Communication and Dissemination
The best option is to grasp the nettle and learn more about Communication and Dissemination for EU projects through training. No matter what is your role in the project: Coordinator, Researcher, the person in charge of communication in a research institute, it is important for your project to have someone that understands how to fulfill the Impact section (both during the proposal and project phase) with success and increase visibility for the project and the consortium.
Last week, Emma Buchet, our International Cooperation manager at Sparks & Co, gave an interview during the H2020 Virtual Summit, and even gave some tips on communication and dissemination strategies. This summit was an opportunity to introduce the importance of Impact section for EU projects.
Nonetheless, it is not enough to win EU funding. If you’re looking to go deeper into communication and dissemination for EU projects, a course specialized in this topic will help you upgrade your knowledge!
